In a few weeks, leading agribusiness investment and innovation platform SVG Ventures will host the THRIVE Global Impact Summit. Founder John Hartnett says the event will focus on soil health, food security and greenhouse gas emissions.

Hartnett… “It’s a Thrive Global Impact Summit and kind of a two part story. We launched a global impact challenge to entrepreneurs around the world. We started this in Tel Aviv, Israel, really trying to reach entrepreneurs around the world. And, and we were very impressed with the tech companies coming out of Tel Aviv. And we did it in partnership with ICL. And we designed this to really make an impact in three key areas: soil health and biodiversity, food security, and then how to reduce/offset greenhouse gases. It was a bit like the three big themes.

Hartnett said 10 companies will present live in San Jose, Calif., on Thursday, Nov. 17. These were selected from nearly 500 applicants in 70 countries. Tickets are available for the event at which is also presented by BASF, Bayer, Kubota, Driscoll Berries, Alberta Innovates and Dairy Australia.
