Search Begins for Vice Chancellor for Information Technology

Dear campus community,

I am pleased to announce the launch of the Executive Recruitment for the Vice Chancellor for Information Technology (VCIT).

This position is vitally important to our campus. We will conduct a national search and the search advisory committee will be co-chaired by Dean of University Extension PK Agarwal and Vice Chancellor of University Relations Mark Davis. Executive search firm Opus Partners will help us develop a diverse pool of qualified candidates and engage with the campus community throughout the process.

Over the next few weeks, the co-chairs and the recruiting agency will be holding stakeholder meetings with constituent groups. These conversations will provide us with information about the position and help us fully describe the role in a way that reflects the impact of IT on our campus and is aligned with our vision and goals.

Survey: For all students, professors or staff members who wish to contribute via a survey, a link can be found on the search page.

For more information on the process, visit the Vice Chancellor for Information Technology search page. Applications can be submitted from 1 November.

I am very grateful to the Acting Vice-Chancellor for Information Technology, Byron Walker, who has held this position since August 2021 and who has agreed to continue serving until the successful conclusion of the research.

If you have any questions about the search or the recruitment process, please contact Andrea Cohen at [email protected]
