TOPEKA – Governor Laura Kelly has announced appointments, including a female Russell, to the following state boards and committees.

Purpose: To license and regulate certified public accountants. The Accounting Board is a regulatory body authorized to enforce the laws and by-laws governing CPAs. The council is disciplinary and has the power to conduct investigations.

Kansas Information Network

Purpose: To provide Kansans with equal electronic access to state, county, local and other public information.

Behavioral Science Regulatory Council

Purpose of Council: The mission is to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public from illegal or unprofessional practitioners within the jurisdiction of the Council. To this end, the agency has defined the statutory qualifications for certification by establishing, through rules and regulations, minimum education and experience requirements that applicants seeking certification in each regulated groups must satisfy before the board grants the applicable certification.

Radiological Technology Council

Purpose of Council: To assist the State Council for the Healing Arts in enforcing the provisions of the law relating to the practice of radiological technologists.
