Leonard Washington, Business Leader and Information Technology Strategist, Launches Campaign for Roselle 5th Ward Council
Roselle, NJ – Leonard Washington is a proud Roselle, NJ native and Abraham Clark High School alumnus, running to represent his 5th Ward in this year’s municipal primary election on June 8, 2021. He is a pro information technology with over 20 years of experience, and is currently an IT infrastructure and security analyst for VDM Metals USA. He is also a co-founder of BOLD Community Care Services, an organization that provides programs and services for people with disabilities.
“The COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown have revealed inefficiencies in how Roselle residents access Borough resources and services. I am passionate about the Borough of Roselle and believe it is important to have representation invested in the general well-being and financial stability of the Borough,” said Leonard Washington. “As a landlord, I share residents’ growing concerns about property tax stability, inefficient use of taxpayers’ money, unfunded debt and modernization. As part of an economic recovery plan for Roselle, I will advocate for streamlining access to borough services, bringing many of them online, and I will lobby to expand WiFi options in public spaces.
Leonard is a devoted husband and father and can often be seen helping his neighbors and other members of the community. Guided by the motto of service before self, he believes in accountability and transparency in government. His candidacy is for the people and for the future of Roselle, and if elected, he will work to responsibly move the borough forward in difficult times.
