iHeartMedia’s Black News Network Adds Chicago Signal

iHeartMedia’s Black News Network is adding a new signal in the Chicago area and is now live on Chicago’s BIN 640 AM, per Radio overview.

The new station for BIN’s programming features top national on-air presenters and correspondents, including award-winning broadcaster Ed Gordon, celebrity journalist Roland Martin and Emmy Award-winning presenter Vanessa Tyler.

“BIN: Black Information Network celebrated its second anniversary on June 30, and the launch of Chicago’s 640 AM is a significant milestone for the network,” said Tony Coles, President of BIN: Black Information Network.

“BIN brings Chicago the most trusted full-time news network for local and national news by and for the black community, and we look forward to the network’s impact in the community for years to come.”

Chicago-area listeners can tune into BIN 640 AM or the iHeartRadio app for 24/7 national and local news on service to the black community. Additionally, the station will also provide an information window for those outside of the community to foster communication, accountability and deeper understanding.

“The launch of BIN 640 AM Chicago represents our continued commitment to informing, empowering and impacting the local Black community,” said Matt Scarano, President of iHeartMedia Chicago Region.

“BIN 640 AM is a terrific addition to iHeartMedia Chicago’s collection of station brands and represents an important moment for our community.”

On Monday, Chicago’s Willis Tower Building will turn on its antenna lights red and green to celebrate the launch of BIN: Black Information Network in Chicago.
