the best certifications in the industry

The CIT-SAS program provides a broad understanding of basic business functions, in addition to the specific skills required for industry certifications such as CompTIA, A+, Network+, Linux+, Security+, and MCITP or MCTS certifications from Microsoft. Students must pass CompTIA’s A+ certification and two other industry certifications (choosing from MCITP, Network+, Linux+, Security+, CNA, or CCNA) to graduate from the CIT-SAS program. Additional certifications are encouraged.

Ferris CIT students are able to apply the academic concepts they have learned through required internships, which helps students be more marketable. Real-world experience through internships is another advantage Ferris students have over other graduates in the job market. Because students learn both theory and application, Ferris is nationally recognized for its professional graduates who know how to get the job done before they even start working. Discover your opportunities on our internships page.

The Computer Information Technology program is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Business Schools and Programs. ACBSP is a leading specialist accrediting association for business education that supports, celebrates and rewards excellence in education.
