Debbie Brown, Colorado Business Roundtable CEO

Debbie Brown is president of the Colorado Business Roundtable. The Colorado Business Roundtable (COBRT) is a public policy organization comprised of executives from some of the state’s largest employers who work to strengthen the state’s economic vitality. COBRT engages with elected leaders, business and nonprofit leaders, and other strategic allies to improve the business climate in our state by unabashedly amplifying the voice of business. COBRT is the state affiliate of the National Business Roundtable (BRT). Based in Washington, DC, BRT is an association of leading American business CEOs working to promote sound public policy and a thriving American economy.

Previously, Brown was president and founder of Amplify Strategies, a strategic communications and public policy consulting firm. Through Amplify Strategies, Debbie has led strategy development, messaging and marketing for businesses, nonprofits, advocacy efforts and candidate campaigns of all sizes. She has created, launched and developed several companies and organizations.

Debbie has been featured as a political strategist in a special report with Bret Baier on Fox News, BBC News World Have Your Say, SkyNews, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Action Conference Colorado Conservative Politics (CPAC), as well as regional and local media. Prior to her work in the political and advocacy arena, Debbie was the founding partner of boutique marketing firm, Firsthand Marketing, which provided strategic business advice to banking, mortgage and credit union clients.

Debbie has been recognized as one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Colorado by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce and a Who’s Who in Energy and finalist for Outstanding Women in Business by the Denver Business Journal. Debbie is part of the American Enterprise Institute’s Leadership Network and is an alumnus of the Rockies Leadership Program.

Debbie is active in the community serving on the board of the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce and as chair of the public affairs committee. She has served on the board of trustees of the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame and as chair of the board of trustees of Cherry Creek Academy, a public K-8 charter school.

Debbie volunteers as a business mentor for women entrepreneurs in Afghanistan and Rwanda with the Institute for Women’s Economic Empowerment. Debbie was recently added to the advisory board of the Women’s Democracy Network, established by the International Republican Institute, which believes that a full and strong democracy depends on the equal participation of women.
