NEW YORK – February 2, 2022 – BIN: Black Information Network, the nationwide comprehensive 24/7 audio news network dedicated to providing an objective, accurate and reliable source of continuous information with a black voice and perspective, today announced that renowned media personality Ramses Ja will join the network as the host of Black Information Network’s “Our Daily Story with Ramses Ja”, a new daily podcast. “Our Daily Story with Ramses Ja” will feature black journalists from across America telling the most significant stories of the day, from their perspective. The daily talk show-style podcast will air later this month, with new episodes launching every weekday morning. Listeners will be able to hear the podcast on iHeartRadio and anywhere podcasts are heard.

Ramses Ja is a renowned media personality who has worked in the industry since 2005, winning six Phoenix New Times “Best of Phoenix” awards over the years. As a philanthropist, Ja co-founded The Change Society and hosted a monthly homeless outreach program called Hashtag Lunch Bag for ten years. Additionally, Ja is also the host of “Civic Cipher,” a nationally streamed podcast designed to give voice to Black people in spaces where their culture is celebrated but little civic engagement takes place.

Additionally, BIN: Black Information Network is delighted to announce that Andrea Coleman, former news anchor for the network, has been elevated to the position of News Director, effective immediately. As Director of News, Coleman will be responsible for directing day-to-day newsroom operations, development of reporters and presenters, and coordinating live news and specialty programming. She will be based in Atlanta and will report to Tanita Myers, vice president of information operations for the Black Information Network.

Coleman joined iHeartMedia as an anchor/reporter for the Black Information Network in the summer of 2020 with 30 years of experience in the communications industry. A seasoned journalist, Coleman also has experience publishing, creating and operating a community magazine that celebrates the history and excellence of the Black community. A longtime resident of Atlanta, Georgia, Coleman knows the issues of the black community and is committed to helping give voice and expression to its success.
